WHITE EAGLE RESORT on LAKE VERMILLION in COOK, MN

What a view. This is what I saw while eating breakfast every morning. I could get used to this.

Erin's first fish of the year. There were many more to follow. What a great girl - not afraid of slime.
Jake, the dog-fish.
Erin & Jake doing their impression of Olympic synchronized swimmers.
Did we do good? GOLD Medal?
Elissa, um, that's the wrong way.
The weather was just perfect all week - just look at that lake.
Here are the woods surrounding the cabin. This is the view from the deck.
Yes, I do drive and I do wear a seatbelt.
The highest point in MN. Not as impressive as the highest point in CO.
Soudan Iron Mine. Closed in 1962 to mining, donated to the Minnesota Park System. Now they give tours and also have a high-energy physics lab 1/2 mile underground.
We had to wear these stylin' hats to go on the tour. Elissa just looks good in ANY hat.
A picture from 1/2 mile underground. VERY cool (literally - 53 degrees).
This tunnel was just so fun! The tour was great and I highly recommend it if you're in the area.
The 3 stooges. This is just the cutest picture of Erin (far right).
I think this guy forgot to leave back in 1962. Haha - he's actually a stuffed dummy.
Look at the striations in this rock. The Geology of this mine was fascinating. Too bad the picture turned out fuzzy.
Me & the girls.
Now I'm actually looking at the camera!!
Now, WHO left that beer on top of that beautiful fire? Hmm....
Can you tell how much I love holding fish by the insides of their mouths? Ick. SpongeBob looks more exited.
Osprey Island. The best fishing spot in the world.
Gorgeous sunset.
Just kept getting prettier.
Great colors. Clean air.
Even better...
Another shot of the shoreline.
Here, this proves that John was on the trip.
I think this was a nice picture, even if it is of me.
This turned out nice of Jake too. He refused to look directly into the camera, so I got his profile instead.
One of John's SMALLER fishes.

The end - thanks for visiting.
